Kim has more than 20 years of experience as an executive/manager in
perioperative services, including OR, Sterile Processing, OR
Financial/Business Department, and OR Information Systems, with an
emphasis on performance improvement and system process enhancement.
Her broad knowledge base -- clinical, educational and administrative
-- includes Operative Services and Intensive Care. One consulting
project in a large hospital system involved reorganization and
implementation of a Charge Master Data auditing system, resulting in
capturing $2.3 million in previously lost charges. She has
performed assessments and process implementations within the
surgical services area for expense reductions based on utilization,
standardization, and physician preference items utilizing benchmark
data, GPO contract analysis, and target price analysis. OR
assessments she has performed include throughput processes from
Pre-Admission Testing to Post-Operative Recovery, and insight for
improvement in such areas as turnaround times and room utilization.
She has functioned as a patient advocate in numerous clinical
areas. Prior to joining Clinical Benchmarking, LLC, Kim was a
Director of Premier, Inc.'s Consulting Solutions.
